

Umut Sefiloğlu is a Turkey-born, Budapest-based artist, DJ, and the creative force behind Base Presents and Refactore. His journey into music began with rhythm instruments in his early childhood, eventually evolving into a deep passion for visual arts and sonic exploration. This fusion of visual and auditory creativity shaped his unique approach to sound—one that blurs boundaries and transcends conventional structures. In 2015, he founded Base Presents, a label and event brand that pioneered a new wave of electronic music culture in the Çukurova region. In 2019, he curated and performed at Based Festival in Mersin, the region’s first electronic music festival, which marked a turning point in the local scene. After relocating to Budapest in 2020, Umut’s sound matured into a heavy, groove-driven style characterized by deep basslines, distorted textures, and intricate drum patterns. His performances are a synthesis of immersive rhythms and layered intensity—crafted for bodies and minds on the move. Umut has played alongside internationally acclaimed artists across Europe, with standout appearances including Boiler Room at Warsaw, Exhale Festival, Katlan Festival (Hungary), and Nexus Club at Paris. In 2024, he also took the stage at the iconic Ozora Festival, further cementing his presence in the European underground circuit.Also he is resident artist at Exist,Warsaw.
